MVP - Minimum Viable Product

How long does it take to develop an MVP?

How many times have we heard the story of an entrepreneur or a startup, who at its early stages invested all their savings and a lot of time developing their product?

Are you one of them?

Maybe you have waited several months to get your app finished, and you made sure every detail was perfect. Then you realized you went too late to market, you didn’t validate the solution and didn’t build the right product for the right users.

Lauch your MVP with Globalis

What should I have done?

Assuming you have already defined the idea as a business on a Lean Canvas. What about an MVP? (You can find here a small definition of a what Minimum Viable Product is).

The MVP is proof that your invested effort on your product has not been in vain.

The question that many clients ask us is: how long should an MVP take to build?

Going to market too early gives you the advantage of changing direction more quickly, but it can be risky and can damage your reputation if the product is buggy or incomplete. On the other hand, if you do it too late, it can happen that you waste your money pursuing the wrong goal while the market and the competition have been moving forward.

Therefore, it depends on what you're trying to get out of it.

In some cases, the development may take a month or two. From our experience, at Globalis we believe that a reasonable time is three months. But then again, there is no thumb rule to find the cost and time to build a digital product and it all depends on the type of MVP you want to develop and its complexity.

If you are thinking of launching your MVP or have more questions, please feel free to contact us.

We would be thrilled to help you and build the right product for you.
